Churchill Road Elementary School Choruses Shine Bright at Winter Concert!
The sounds of the season filled the air as the Churchill Road Elementary School choruses took to the stage for their annual Winter Concert. The talented young singers, under the direction of choral director and music teacher Karen Judkins, delighted the audience with a heartwarming selection of holiday tunes.
The concert kicked off with a spirited rendition of "Over the River" by John Riggio, performed by the 4th grade Bobcat Chorus. Their energy and enthusiasm were infectious, setting the tone for a joyous evening of music. They followed up with a playful performance of "Santa Claus Rock" by Teresa Jennings, bringing smiles to faces throughout the auditorium.
Next, both choruses joined forces for a powerful rendition of "Winter Fantasy" by Jill Gallina, their voices blending beautifully to create a truly magical moment.
The 5th and 6th grade Churchill Road Chorus then took center stage. Their voices soared as they sang "A Perfect Winter Day" by Teresa Jennings, painting a vivid musical picture of a snowy winter wonderland. They continued to enchant the audience with their performances of "Holly and Ivy and Evergreen" by Teresa Jennings and "Cold Snap" by Mark Hayes. The chorus sang out their hopes for piles and piles of snow in "Please, Let it Snow" by Sally Albrecht.
The concert concluded with a festive sing-along of "We Wish You a Swinging Holiday" by Teresa Jennings, leaving the audience humming long after the final note and longing for a joyous holiday season.
